Big thanks to Dynastiefr2 on youtube for this.

the pilot, broadcasted on September, 26 1983. The pilot is the only episode written by Esther & Richard Shapiro.

Episodes 1 to 11 are untitled. It's not until episode 12 that titles were attributed to episodes.

Unfortunately, like other soaps of the 80's, the last episode ended on a cliffhanger and some stories remained unfinished.

Emerald Point N.A.S. is a soap of 1983, created by Esther & Richard Shapiro (creators of "Dynasty" and "The Colbys". It only lasted one year, unfortunately.

The two mansions of the show can be seen in other prime time soaps. The mansion of the Mallorys is also the house of the Weldons in "Flamingo Road". The mansion of the Adams is the house of the Agrettis in "Falcon Crest" (seasons 5 to 8).

Soaps connections: Andrew Stevens was on "Hollywood wives" and "Dallas". Stephanie Dunnam was on "Mistral's daughter" and "Dynasty". Doran Clark was on "Secrets of Midland Heights" and "King's Crossing".

Patrick O'Neal left the cast after only eight episodes (he is credited in the 9th episode but doesn't make an appearance). He was replaced then by Robert Vaughn.

Obituary: Dennis Weaver had died on February, 24 2006. Patrick O'Neal had died on September, 9 1994.

The theme has been composed by Bill Conti ("Dynasty", "The Colbys", "Cagney & Lacey", "North & South" and... "Rocky"!)

Except the Shapiros and Bill Conti, the rest of the crew is completely different than the crew of "Dynasty" and "the Colbys". The show had been produced by Michael Fillerman ("Knots Landing", "Falcon Crest", "Berrenger's"...) and the wardrobe had been made by Jean-Pierre Dorléac ("Quantum Leap"...)

Hope you enjoy that show!
